World Meteorological Day 2017 Celebration at IITM
IITM celebrated World Meteorological day 2017 on 23rd March at its premises. The theme for this year was ‘Understanding Clouds’. As part of the celebrations, Dr. J.R. Kulkarni (Ex-Scientist and Ex-Prog. Manager of CAIPEEX at IITM) delivered the World Meteorological Day Special Lecture on the theme ‘Understanding Clouds’. About 100 Students from New English School & Junior College, Hadapsar visited the institute on this occasion. Visitors were taken on guided tour to different laboratories and facilities at the institute. IITM scientists and researchers demonstrated and explained different aspects of weather and climate sciences to these visitors.
