IITM is contributing to WCRP Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP6). Second version of IITM Earth System Model (IITM-ESM-v2) is realized by achieving a radiatively balanced global climate modeling framework appropriate for addressing the science of climate change. A 300-year spin-up and 500-year pre-industrial control simulations are completed with IITM-ESM and the results are summarized in Swapna et al. (2018). The transient climate sensitivity runs and historical simulations for the period 1850-2014 are progressing with IITM-ESM-v2. |
