IITM, Pune and the WWRP/WCRP Subseasonal-to-Seasonal (S2S) Prediction Project are jointly organizing a Virtual  International Conference on the "Future directions of Subseasonal to Seasonal Prediction over South Asia" during 29-31 March 2021 at IITM, Pune, India.

This conference will have only invited talks and will focus on the subseasonal to seasonal activities over South Asia.  The meeting aims to review our current abilities to make skilful predictions on S2S scale and to identify new initiatives, collaborations, and emerging science questions.

At the end of the conference, it is proposed to felicitate Dr A K Sahai, Scientist-G at IITM, for his significant contributions in climate science through the research on operational prediction of weather parameters at different time scales focusing over the Indian Region. Dr Sahai is attaining his superannuation on 31 March 2021.
