Collaborative Workshop jointly organized by IITM and RBI
Collaborative Workshop on Climate Data and Climate Model Familiarization for Financial Applications was held at IITM Pune ( 23rd April 2025) jointly organized by IITM and RBI
The IITM scientists emphasized the IITM's climate modeling capabilities at various spatiotemporal scales, climate change projections, and a few potential applications in the financial sector. The RBI officials discussed financial projections available at the RBI and how they use climate data for various financial purposes. The breadth of collaboration has been quantified, and officials from both organizations have agreed to escalate further collaboration in the near future.
